The current code abuses ASoC APIs and manipulates ASoC internal data structures. It needs to be redone cleanly for upstream. Also it's not clear what really needs to be done on topology unload.
Added as an enhancement but this has to be prioritized, otherwise next time your esteemed dictator will refuse to merge such code. Thank you.
