You can comment on any test or suite, mention a teammate to pull them in, and get notified in the app and by email when a conversation moves.

please check if we have any article about comments itself.
if not, please add information about comments itself

Type `@` followed by a teammate's username in a comment on a test or suite. They are notified right away, so a question aimed at someone does not sit unread in a thread they had no reason to open.

@catpetrychenko-rgb I don't agree with the proposed changes in the structure (see the screenshot). It looks strange because in this context Notifications appear as consequence of Comments and Mentions.

Could you please check other Tests Management Systems docs - how do they position similar functionality?

@TetianaKhomenko In TestRail there’s no such thing as comments or notifications as we have them in Testomat.io. only email notifications about work processes (changing test status, finishing run, etc.) are available. Here’s the link: https://support.testrail.com/hc/en-us/articles/7764722657684-Email-customization

In another test automation system, Testmo, internal notifications are present within the system but are similar to email notifications in TestRail and are only about internal work processes (changing test status, finishing run, etc.). Link: https://support.testmo.com/hc/en-us/articles/47547737722125-Notifications

comments have their own button in modals like tests or suites. Notifications have a separate button in the sidebar and are more noticeable. So, notifications have greater significance and should be a separate category. as comments are directly connected to notifications, they should be in the notifications category. Otherwise, they can be placed in the Tests category
