Q: Way to pause validation in v4

Hi

I tried to reach the following behaviour: validation on all the fields of a form should be inactive at mount-time, even if touched & dirty , but turning active once the submit-button is clicked.

What was the best approach to achieve this on Form-level? Haven't used v3 but saw there exists some pause-function. Is there a pendant in v4?

There isn't an API for that in v4 at the moment. But you could do it in userland by adding a listener to your button to turn a flag like submitAttempted to true when then you can choose to show the errors.

I'm considering adding a submitCount state which would serve the same purpose here, as well as props for validateOnInput, validateOnBlur, and validateOnChange which you could turn off until the form is submitted.

Thanks for the fast response. This is pretty much the way I actually did it (passing a prop on each custom-input, so it's able to toggle visibility of ErrorMessage. Was just wondering if I missed a more generic way.
