Using write-combine is crucial for performance of PCI devices where
significant amounts of transactions go over PCI BARs.

arm64 supports write-combine PCI mappings, so the appropriate define
has been added which will expose write-combine mappings under sysfs
for prefetchable PCI resources.

as part of the fixes for the security issues. This does the required
changes.

In amd64 bluetooth is disabled in the annotations file we need to

The new functions use device_{online,offline}() which are userspace safe.

This is in preparation to move cpu_{up, down} kernel users to use a safer
interface that is not racy with userspace.

The Nitro Enclaves driver handles the enclave lifetime management. This
includes enclave creation, termination and setting up its resources such
as memory and CPU.

An enclave runs alongside the VM that spawned it. It is abstracted as a
process running in the VM that launched it. The process interacts with
the NE driver, that exposes an ioctl interface for creating an enclave
and setting up its resources.

The Nitro Enclaves (NE) driver communicates with a new PCI device, that
is exposed to a virtual machine (VM) and handles commands meant for
handling enclaves lifetime e.g. creation, termination, setting memory
regions. The communication with the PCI device is handled using a MMIO
space and MSI-X interrupts.

This device communicates with the hypervisor on the host, where the VM
that spawned the enclave itself runs, e.g. to launch a VM that is used
for the enclave.

Define the MMIO space of the NE PCI device, the commands that are
provided by this device. Add an internal data structure used as private
data for the PCI device driver and the function for the PCI device
command requests handling.

The Nitro Enclaves driver keeps an internal info per each enclave.

This is needed to be able to manage enclave resources state, enclave
notifications and have a reference of the PCI device that handles
command requests for enclave lifetime management.

The Nitro Enclaves PCI device is used by the kernel driver as a means of
communication with the hypervisor on the host where the primary VM and
the enclaves run. It handles requests with regard to enclave lifetime.

Setup the PCI device driver and add support for MSI-X interrupts.

The Nitro Enclaves PCI device exposes a MMIO space that this driver
uses to submit command requests and to receive command replies e.g. for
enclave creation / termination or setting enclave resources.

Add logic for handling PCI device command requests based on the given
command type.

Register an MSI-X interrupt vector for command reply notifications to
handle this type of communication events.

In addition to the replies sent by the Nitro Enclaves PCI device in
response to command requests, out-of-band enclave events can happen e.g.
an enclave crashes. In this case, the Nitro Enclaves driver needs to be
aware of the event and notify the corresponding user space process that
abstracts the enclave.

Register an MSI-X interrupt vector to be used for this kind of
out-of-band events. The interrupt notifies that the state of an enclave
changed and the driver logic scans the state of each running enclave to
identify for which this notification is intended.

Create an workqueue to handle the out-of-band events. Notify user space
enclave process that is using a polling mechanism on the enclave fd.

Add ioctl command logic for enclave VM creation. It triggers a slot
allocation. The enclave resources will be associated with this slot and
it will be used as an identifier for triggering enclave run.

Return a file descriptor, namely enclave fd. This is further used by the
associated user space enclave process to set enclave resources and
trigger enclave termination.

The poll function is implemented in order to notify the enclave process
when an enclave exits without a specific enclave termination command
trigger e.g. when an enclave crashes.

There is a race condition in vxlan that when deleting a vxlan device
during receiving packets, there is a possibility that the sock is
released after getting vxlan_sock vs from sk_user_data. Then in
later vxlan_ecn_decapsulate(), vxlan_get_sk_family() we will got

During reboot all drivers PM shutdown callbacks are invoked.
In iavf_shutdown() the adapter state is changed to __IAVF_REMOVE.
In ice_shutdown() the call chain above is executed, which at some point
calls iavf_remove(). However iavf_remove() expects the VF to be in one
of the states __IAVF_RUNNING, __IAVF_DOWN or __IAVF_INIT_FAILED. If
that's not the case it sleeps forever.
So if iavf_shutdown() gets invoked before iavf_remove() the system will
hang indefinitely because the adapter is already in state __IAVF_REMOVE.

Fix this by returning from iavf_remove() if the state is __IAVF_REMOVE,
as we already went through iavf_shutdown().

gpi_ch_init() doesn't lock the ctrl_lock mutex, so there is no need to
unlock it too. Instead the mutex is handled by the function
gpi_alloc_chan_resources(), which properly locks and unlocks the mutex.

When ring_buffer_swap_cpu was called during resize process,
the cpu buffer was swapped in the middle, resulting in incorrect state.
Continuing to run in the wrong state will result in oops.

This issue can be easily reproduced using the following two scripts:

Currently, for double invoke call_rcu(), will dump rcu_head objects memory
info, if the objects is not allocated from the slab allocator, the
vmalloc_dump_obj() will be invoke and the vmap_area_lock spinlock need to
be held, since the call_rcu() can be invoked in interrupt context,
therefore, there is a possibility of spinlock deadlock scenarios.

And in Preempt-RT kernel, the rcutorture test also trigger the following

The previous patch fixes this by using the deadlock-safe best-effort
version of find_vm_area.  However, in case of failure print the fact that
the pointer was a vmalloc pointer so that we print at least something.

The lock is used to synchronize different sysfs operations, it doesn't
protect any resource that will be touched by an interrupt. Consequently
it's not required to disable IRQs. Replace the spinlock with a mutex to fix
the deadlock.

When creating ceq_0 during probing irdma, cqp.sc_cqp will be sent as a
cqp_request to cqp->sc_cqp.sq_ring. If the request is pending when

This is all caused by command [1] turning off the rx-vlan-filter function
of bond0. The reason is the same as commit 01f4fd2 ("bonding: Fix
incorrect deletion of ETH_P_8021AD protocol vid from slaves"). Commands
[2] [3] add the same vid to slave and master respectively, causing
command [4] to empty slave->vlan_info. The following command [5] triggers
this problem.

To fix this problem, we should add VLAN_FILTER feature checks in
vlan_vids_add_by_dev() and vlan_vids_del_by_dev() to prevent incorrect
addition or deletion of vlan_vid information.

Add a SPDIF audio-graph-card to ROCK Pi 4 device tree.

It's not enabled by default since all dma channels are used by
the (already) enabled i2s0/1/2 and the pin is muxed with GPIO4_C5
which might be in use already.
If enabled SPDIF_TX will be available at pin #15.

vhost_worker will call tun call backs to receive packets. If too many
illegal packets arrives, tun_do_read will keep dumping packet contents.
When console is enabled, it will costs much more cpu time to dump
packet and soft lockup will be detected.

net_ratelimit mechanism can be used to limit the dumping rate.

The code in ocfs2_dio_end_io_write() estimates number of necessary
transaction credits using ocfs2_calc_extend_credits().  This however does
not take into account that the IO could be arbitrarily large and can
contain arbitrary number of extents.

Extent tree manipulations do often extend the current transaction but not
in all of the cases.  For example if we have only single block extents in
the tree, ocfs2_mark_extent_written() will end up calling
ocfs2_replace_extent_rec() all the time and we will never extend the
current transaction and eventually exhaust all the transaction credits if
the IO contains many single block extents.  Once that happens a
WARN_ON(jbd2_handle_buffer_credits(handle) <= 0) is triggered in
jbd2_journal_dirty_metadata() and subsequently OCFS2 aborts in response to
this error.  This was actually triggered by one of our customers on a
heavily fragmented OCFS2 filesystem.

To fix the issue make sure the transaction always has enough credits for
one extent insert before each call of ocfs2_mark_extent_written().

There are many other callers of __ethtool_get_link_ksettings() which
don't have a device presence check.

Move this check into ethtool to protect all callers.

The fields in the hist_entry are filled on-demand which means they only
have meaningful values when relevant sort keys are used.

So if neither of 'dso' nor 'sym' sort keys are used, the map/symbols in
the hist entry can be garbage.  So it shouldn't access it
unconditionally.

As you can see the entry->ms.map was NULL even if he->ms.map has a
value.  This is because 'sym' sort key is not given, so it cannot assume
whether he->ms.sym and entry->ms.sym is the same.  I only checked the
'sym' sort key here as it implies 'dso' behavior (so maps are the same).

Further analyzing the trace and the crash dump's vmcore file shows that
the wake_up() call in btrfs_encoded_read_endio() is calling wake_up() on
the wait_queue that is in the private data passed to the end_io handler.

Commit 4ff47df40447 ("btrfs: move priv off stack in
btrfs_encoded_read_regular_fill_pages()") moved 'struct
btrfs_encoded_read_private' off the stack.

Before that commit one can see a corruption of the private data when
analyzing the vmcore after a crash:

Here we can see several indicators of in-memory data corruption, e.g. the
large negative atomic values of ->pending or
->wait->lock->rlock->raw_lock->val, as well as the bogus spinlock magic
0x1ff7ae32 (decimal 536325682 above) instead of 0xdead4ead or the bogus
pointer values for ->wait->head.

To fix this, change atomic_dec_return() to atomic_dec_and_test() to fix the
corruption, as atomic_dec_return() is defined as two instructions on
x86_64, whereas atomic_dec_and_test() is defined as a single atomic
operation. This can lead to a situation where counter value is already
decremented but the if statement in btrfs_encoded_read_endio() is not
completely processed, i.e. the 0 test has not completed. If another thread
continues executing btrfs_encoded_read_regular_fill_pages() the
atomic_dec_return() there can see an already updated ->pending counter and
continues by freeing the private data. Continuing in the endio handler the
test for 0 succeeds and the wait_queue is woken up, resulting in a
use-after-free.

This issue was also reported by syzbot.

It can be reproduced by following these steps(more details [1]):
1. Obtain more than 32 inputs that have similar hashes, which ends with the
   pattern '0xxxxxxxe6'.
2. Reboot and add the keys obtained in step 1.

The reproducer demonstrates how this issue happened:
1. In the search_nested_keyrings function, when it iterates through the
   slots in a node(below tag ascend_to_node), if the slot pointer is meta
   and node->back_pointer != NULL(it means a root), it will proceed to
   descend_to_node. However, there is an exception. If node is the root,
   and one of the slots points to a shortcut, it will be treated as a
   keyring.
2. Whether the ptr is keyring decided by keyring_ptr_is_keyring function.
   However, KEYRING_PTR_SUBTYPE is 0x2UL, the same as
   ASSOC_ARRAY_PTR_SUBTYPE_MASK.
3. When 32 keys with the similar hashes are added to the tree, the ROOT
   has keys with hashes that are not similar (e.g. slot 0) and it splits
   NODE A without using a shortcut. When NODE A is filled with keys that
   all hashes are xxe6, the keys are similar, NODE A will split with a
   shortcut. Finally, it forms the tree as shown below, where slot 6 points
   to a shortcut.

4. As mentioned above, If a slot(slot 6) of the root points to a shortcut,
   it may be mistakenly transferred to a key*, leading to a read
   out-of-bounds read.

To fix this issue, one should jump to descend_to_node if the ptr is a
shortcut, regardless of whether the node is root or not.

When a bio with REQ_PREFLUSH is submitted to dm, __send_empty_flush()
generates a flush_bio with REQ_OP_WRITE | REQ_PREFLUSH | REQ_SYNC,
which causes the flush_bio to be throttled by wbt_wait().

After commit 2def284 ("xfs: don't allow log IO to be throttled"),
the metadata submitted by xlog_write_iclog() should not be throttled.
But due to the existence of the dm layer, throttling flush_bio indirectly
causes the metadata bio to be throttled.

Fix this by conditionally adding REQ_IDLE to flush_bio.bi_opf, which makes
wbt_should_throttle() return false to avoid wbt_wait().

The namespaces can access the controller's admin request_queue, and
stale references on the namespaces may exist after tearing down the
controller. Ensure the admin request_queue is active by moving the
controller's 'put' to after all controller references have been released
to ensure no one is can access the request_queue. This fixes a reported

The test starts a workload and then opens events. If the events fail
to open, for example because of perf_event_paranoid, the gopipe of the
workload is leaked and the file descriptor leak check fails when the
test exits. To avoid this cancel the workload when opening the events
fails.

syzbot reported a BUG_ON in ext4_es_cache_extent() when opening a verity
file on a corrupted ext4 filesystem mounted without a journal.

The issue is that the filesystem has an inode with both the INLINE_DATA
and EXTENTS flags set:

Investigation revealed that the inode has both flags set:
    DEBUG: inode 15 - flag=1, i_inline_off=164, has_inline=1, extents_flag=1

This is an invalid combination since an inode should have either:
- INLINE_DATA: data stored directly in the inode
- EXTENTS: data stored in extent-mapped blocks

Having both flags causes ext4_has_inline_data() to return true, skipping
extent tree validation in __ext4_iget(). The unvalidated out-of-order
extents then trigger a BUG_ON in ext4_es_cache_extent() due to integer
underflow when calculating hole sizes.

Fix this by detecting this invalid flag combination early in ext4_iget()
and rejecting the corrupted inode.

Similarly to how CAN FD reuses the bittiming logic of Classical CAN, CAN XL
also reuses the entirety of CAN FD features, and, on top of that, adds new
features which are specific to CAN XL.

A so-called 'mixed-mode' is intended to have (XL-tolerant) CAN FD nodes and
CAN XL nodes on one CAN segment, where the FD-controllers can talk CC/FD
and the XL-controllers can talk CC/FD/XL. This mixed-mode utilizes the
known error-signalling (ES) for sending CC/FD/XL frames. For CAN FD and CAN
XL the tranceiver delay compensation (TDC) is supported to use common CAN
and CAN-SIG transceivers.

The CANXL-only mode disables the error-signalling in the CAN XL controller.
This mode does not allow CC/FD frames to be sent but additionally offers a
CAN XL transceiver mode switching (TMS) to send CAN XL frames with up to
20Mbit/s data rate. The TMS utilizes a PWM configuration which is added to
the netlink interface.

Configured with CAN_CTRLMODE_FD and CAN_CTRLMODE_XL this leads to:

FD=0 XL=0 CC-only mode         (ES=1)
FD=1 XL=0 FD/CC mixed-mode     (ES=1)
FD=1 XL=1 XL/FD/CC mixed-mode  (ES=1)
FD=0 XL=1 XL-only mode         (ES=0, TMS optional)

Patch #1 print defined ctrlmode strings capitalized to increase the
readability and to be in line with the 'ip' tool (iproute2).

Patch #2 is a small clean-up which makes can_calc_bittiming() use
NL_SET_ERR_MSG() instead of netdev_err().

Patch #3 adds a check in can_dev_dropped_skb() to drop CAN FD frames
when CAN FD is turned off.

Patch #4 adds CAN_CTRLMODE_RESTRICTED. Note that contrary to the other
CAN_CTRL_MODE_XL_* that are introduced in the later patches, this control
mode is not specific to CAN XL. The nuance is that because this restricted
mode was only added in ISO 11898-1:2024, it is made mandatory for CAN XL
devices but optional for other protocols. This is why this patch is added
as a preparation before introducing the core CAN XL logic.

Patch #5 adds all the CAN XL features which are inherited from CAN FD: the
nominal bittiming, the data bittiming and the TDC.

Patch #6 add a new CAN_CTRLMODE_XL_TMS control mode which is specific to
CAN XL to enable the transceiver mode switching (TMS) in XL-only mode.

Patch #7 adds a check in can_dev_dropped_skb() to drop CAN CC/FD frames
when the CAN XL controller is in CAN XL-only mode. The introduced
can_dev_in_xl_only_mode() function also determines the error-signalling
configuration for the CAN XL controllers.

Patch #8 to #11 add the PWM logic for the CAN XL TMS mode.

Patch #12 to #14 add different default sample-points for standard CAN and
CAN SIG transceivers (with TDC) and CAN XL transceivers using PWM in the
CAN XL TMS mode.

Patch #15 add a dummy_can driver for netlink testing and debugging.

Patch #16 check CAN frame type (CC/FD/XL) when writing those frames to the
CAN_RAW socket and reject them if it's not supported by the CAN interface.

Patch #17 increase the resolution when printing the bitrate error and
round-up the value to 0.01% in the case the resolution would still provide
values which would lead to 0.00%.

When perf report with annotation for a symbol, press 's' and 'T', then exit
the annotate browser. Once annotate the same symbol, the annotate browser
will crash.

The browser.arch was required to be correctly updated when data type
feature was enabled by 'T'. Usually it was initialized by symbol__annotate2
function. If a symbol has already been correctly annotated at the first
time, it should not call the symbol__annotate2 function again, thus the
browser.arch will not get initialized. Then at the second time to show the
annotate browser, the data type needs to be displayed but the browser.arch
is empty.

The ETM decoder incorrectly assumed that auxtrace queue indices were
equivalent to CPU number. This assumption is used for inserting records
into the queue, and for fetching queues when given a CPU number. This
assumption held when Perf always opened a dummy event on every CPU, even
if the user provided a subset of CPUs on the commandline, resulting in
the indices aligning.

Currently, the initialization of loongarch_jump_ops does not contain an
assignment to its .free field. This causes disasm_line__free() to fall
through to ins_ops__delete() for LoongArch jump instructions.

ins_ops__delete() will free ins_operands.source.raw and
ins_operands.source.name, and these fields overlaps with
ins_operands.jump.raw_comment and ins_operands.jump.raw_func_start.
Since in loongarch_jump__parse(), these two fields are populated by
strchr()-ing the same buffer, trying to free them will lead to undefined
behavior.

This invalid free usually leads to crashes:
