Is it possible to automatically clean up after an update?

Why aren't the old versions deleted after an update? They just keep piling up. Can I simply delete them and move them to the Trash? Shouldn't this cleanup happen automatically after the update is performed?

Thanks for flagging this — you're right, and it was a real gap, not intended behavior.

On macOS/Linux the standalone installer (install.sh) put each release in its own ~/.codegraph/versions/<version> directory (each ~45–50 MB, because it bundles a Node runtime) and only moved a current symlink onto the newest one. It never removed the old directories, so they piled up with every upgrade. (Windows wasn't affected — it overwrites a single folder in place.)

Fixed in #1075 (ships in the next release): the installer now keeps only the version it just installed and removes the older ones automatically, on both fresh installs and codegraph upgrade. The npm fallback cache (~/.codegraph/bundles/) cleans up the same way.

And yes — you can safely delete the old ones right now, move them to the Trash, whatever you like. Nothing references them except the active version the current symlink points at. To clear everything but the active one:
