Activity Indicator Keeps Spinning

Description

3-4 times a day the github plugin will get stuck with a spinning activity indicator. While in this state, I cannot push, pull or change branches at all. The only fix is to close Atom and re-open it. This is a recent development in either version 1.24 or 1.25 of Atom, I have used it for over a year without issue.

Steps to Reproduce

Unfortunately I cannot seem to reproduce this particular bug with any consistency, however, it happens to me about 3-4 times a day.

My initial thought was that it was caused by deleting the remote branch that I am working on via the web tools on github.com, but I cannot get it to exhibit this behavior upon demand.

Expected behavior:

Github plugin continues to work, without restarting Atom.

Actual behavior:

Activity Indicator gets stuck in a spinning loop, and I cannot push, pull or change branches. The only way to fix or reset the github plugin is to close then re-open Atom. This gets me back into the same branch that was stuck without any further issues.

Reproduces how often:

I am working in Atom about 9 hours a day, M-F, and I would say it happens 3-4 times during that time span.

this seems to be fixed in 1.27 beta, i have not experienced this all day.
