Changing assigned configuration partens of an application does not correctly update the /config UI

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to /config/counter
2. Add WAAuthConfiguration

What is the expected output? 
Login and password fields are there.

What do you see instead?
Login and password fields are not there. You have to navigate to a different 
component and back to get them. Also if you remove a parent you get a 
WAAttributeNotFound if that results in a configuration attribute no longer 
being there.
