Thank you for the update DrTVockerodtMO. Glad the multi-PE adjoint_tests is working now. Passes Sci/Tech review.

Code review
Checked out the updated version of the fork and ran the all group test suite on Az Spice and EX. All green.
The code changes are clear, well-justified and follow LFRic development practices.

Fix to make the
adjoint_testsapplication export its custom PSyclone config as opposed to explicitly passing it into the import scripts. This is mainly to make local parallel runs of theadjoint_testsapplication work, which is a prerequisite for a fully fledged paralleladjoint_testsrun on the test-suite.We found that using the current Makefile caused some of the generated PSy layer to use the default PSyclone config, and others used the custom
adjoint_testsPSyclone config. This causes some PSy layer code to iterate into halos/annexed dofs which when using theadjoint_testsapplication causes floating point errors during parallel runs. The new Makefile ensures the configuration is consistent and the floating point errors diminish.Note that I could have also ammended some of the logic for the
adjointimport.mk script, but since we are moving away from live building with PSyAd (see #330 ) I opted not to change this at this time.Code Quality Checklist
